d’bali Asian Bistro opened its doors in October 2018 in Airway Heights, Washington, as the dream of owner “Mama” Jeannie Choi with the goal of sharing her love and passion for Southeast Asia, travel, and culture, with her fellow neighbors of the greater Spokane-Coeur d’Alene and Inland Northwest community.

As a long-time resident of Airway Heights, "Mama" Jeannie is proud to invest in the thriving West Plains community. The feeling of community and family is pervasive throughout everything that we do. Hospitality is paramount, and customer service is at the heart of our business.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Mama Jeannie is a third-generation restaurateur, with many years of professional experience in the international hotel/hospitality industry. Upon relocating to the beautiful Inland Northwest over 15 years ago, Mama Jeannie shared her culinary expertise and passion with her many friends and family, who always encouraged her to open a place of her own. So after years of planning and sacrifice, she was determined to bring this dream to reality!

Dining Experience

Our dining room accommodates 40 guests and can be configured to suit events of all types. Our signature Family Dining Table is the heart of our restaurant, and can be reserved for your special occasion. It is also a place where solo diners can be seated together, to connect & share in a communal setting, encouraging conversation, friendship, and community.

Pop-up Series

As part of Mama’s commitment to the industry, we are pleased to offer our special “Pop-Up” series events, where up-and-coming talent are allowed to utilize d’bali’s facilities to showcase their skills and gain valuable lessons in the restaurant ownership experience prior to a full-blown commitment, thus helping to increase their success rates upon launching their own businesses. Our “Pop-Up” series is also a way to help bring greater cultural awareness of lesser-known cuisines & experiences through sharing our humble facilities and/or platform.

Since opening our doors, we are honored to have been awarded “Best Ethnic Dining” (2018, Spokane Culinary Arts Guild), featured on television, print, & online numerous times, and most importantly, we’ve built many lasting friendships!
